Meyer will be on paid administrative leave and Ryan Day will serve as acting head football coach, the university said.

Meyer was placed on leave while the university investigates whether he knew about domestic violence allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith. "I know Urban has done a great job done, and if he gets back he'll do a great job". And now it appears he's a defender of Meyer's as well, even if he, along with the rest of us, are waiting to find out just what happened over the past three years.

"You don't really know somebody outside of football like you want to", Apple said.

"Gene (Smith) and I agree that being on leave during this inquiry will facilitate its completion", Meyer said in a statement. Ohio State won the 2014 national championship.

Courtney: "Restraining orders don't do anything in Ohio-I tried to get protection order which is what started this whole investigation".

The extension signed on 27 March added a requirement to Meyer's contract that he immediately report any "known violations" of Ohio State's sexual misconduct policy. Meyer will continue to collect his $7.6 million annual salary. Shelley is also an Ohio State employee as a registered nurse.

Lindsey Voltolini is the wife of Ohio State Football Operations Direction Brian Voltolini. "This allows the team to conduct training camp with minimal distraction".

"I can't say", he said. When Smith chose to get into coaching, it was only appropriate that Meyer was there with a job. He resigned after the 2009 season, citing health concerns, but changed his mind a day later. The Gators went 8-5 in 2010, and afterward, Meyer stepped down for good.

She continued, "When somebody is crying out for help, I believe, the coach along with the coach's wife have a duty". He coached at Florida one more season and quit again, this time saying he wanted to devote more time to his wife and children.

Shelley Meyer is a registered nurse and instructor of Clinical Practice at the Ohio State University College of Nursing. Zach Smith was the team's wide receivers' coach.

The most recent charge occurred in May, during an incident that occurred when Zach Smith dropped off the couple's son at his wife's home. In fact, Courtney Smith said of the 2015 incident, "All the [coaches'] wives knew". Charges were never filed. Smith has never been criminally charged. He pleaded not guilty, and a hearing is scheduled for Friday.

Smith provided McMurphy with text messages she exchanged with Shelley Meyer in 2015 about the incident, which brought a police visit but did not result in criminal charges against Zach Smith, who was sacked last month after that allegation and one from 2009 came to light. He was also asked about the 2015 incident alleged by Courtney Smith. That is about all I can say right now.
