When asked if he has any plans or a response for Disney if they do not reinstate Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, The Animal commented on how it's "pretty nauseating" to work for Disney.

They don't call him Drax the Destroyer for nothing - with the James Gunn sacking saga rolling on, Dave Bautista has spoken out again about the Guardians of the Galaxy situation in pretty damning terms.

Update: Dave Bautista has doubled down on his stance in a new interview, threatening to leave the Guardians of the Galaxy films. "That's just how I feel".

Gunn directed both of the first two and was booked to helm the third, but was sacked last month after offensive jokes he posted on Twitter several years ago were resurfaced by hardline Conservative pundits, ostensibly wanting to settle a score following Disney's firing of Roseanne Barr. The Hollywood star also described Gunn as one of "the most loving, caring, good natured people [he] has ever met", while acknowledging that the director has "made mistakes".

In the hours following his termination, Bautista tweeted that he was "not OK" with Disney's decision. "I'd be doing James a disservice if I didn't". While we love the Guardians, they are ultimately one cog in the big Marvel Studios machine, and in efforts to stay away from anything Gunn, I wouldn't be surprised if they nixed the script and pushed the movie back a couple years.
