T-Mobile will begin offering the plan on Friday.

T-Mobile Essentials is priced at $60 for one line, $30 for the second line, and $15 per line for lines 3-6, plus taxes and fees with autopay.

The plan reduces the price of its standard T-Mobile One plan and offers fewer extra perks. T-Mobile will throttle Essential customers more than its other unlimited data plans, noting that "during times and places with heavy network demand, Essentials customers may notice slower speeds than other customers". All of those prices are based on signing up for autopay which saves $5 per line. Also, despite being advertized as an unlimited plan, throttling still hits after you pass over 50GB of used data in a month. Essentials doesn't include things like a free Netflix plan or the ability to use data internationally. For $10/month, subscribers can purchase 10GB of high-speed 4G LTE mobile hotspot data. Both T-Mobile One at $70 a month and One Plus at $80 a month aren't subject to slowdowns until after 50 GB of data. For $10 more, users get 1080p video and 10 GB of hotspot data before dropping to 3G.

For those of you who don't care about traveling outside of the U.S., or using mobile hotspots, consider T-Mobile's latest rate plan, T-Mobile Essentials. As mentioned. Netflix is included with both plans.

T-Mobiles plans are no longer simple for the average customer to understand. Additionally, T-Mobile One includes taxes and fees in the price, while T-Mobile Essentials charges taxes and fees separately from the per-user rate.

There will be some extras available for the T-Mobile Essentials plan for customers who need them. T-Mo also says that if you switch to the new plan, you will lose discounts on service like free line promotions, but you can keep most device promos when you're getting monthly bill credits. T-Mobile just made its selection of plans more confusing by introducing Essentials, bringing the total number of plans up to three (Essentials, ONE and ONE Plus).
