Agents will have at least a limited place within the NCAA structure when it comes to college basketball. "And if you're not on the approved list, and you want an agent, then are you stuck in the old days, and can be declared ineligible?" an agent of college basketball coaches told The Post.

College players who declare early for the National Basketball Association draft but are not selected will have the option of returning to school, provided the National Basketball Association makes an expected rule change about draft eligibility, according to the NCAA.

The NCAA launched a commission and set of sub-committees to address the fallout of the FBI investigation into the college basketball industry, resulting in several policy shifts - including the assigning of responsibility to USA Basketball for something the organization had already told the NCAA it wanted no part: Bearing responsibility for selecting elite senior high school prospects who'll be allowed to sign with registered agents.

Particularly, the NCAA has made some changes to how it will handle the NBA Draft process on its end.

The agent would have to be certified by the NCAA no later than August 2020. Previously, players who hired an agent lost their eligibility.
