Check out the Fahrenheit 11/9 trailer below, and check out the movie when it hits theaters on September 21! Over a year after that letter's publication, things haven't changed, which is why Moore made a documentary about the Trump administration.

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment in 2016 on the eve of the release of his last film Where to Invade Next Moore advised Irish people to ridicule Trump on a planned but subsequently cancelled visit to Ireland. He hopes this film will "end the madness" that people seem content to let continue.

Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be.

The new documentary will premiere at this year's Toronto Film Festival before a US release on September 21.

Michael Moore is prepping a documentary, Fahrenheit 11/9, about President Trump and says the leader of the free world should be anxious. This puts us all in grave danger.

Flint, Michigan's man-made, lead-poisoned water crisis began in 2014 and resulted in strict regulations being enacted at a state level in 2018, with the water's lead levels finally dropping below federal safety levels in 2017.

Asked if the film provides a "glimmer of hope", Moore shot back, "Fuck hope". Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation or an adult film star will save the country.

Following Fahrenheit 11/9's TIFF world premiere, the film will debut in the United States on September 21st.
