Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a rather special edition version of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

The "500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro" will have a translucent dark blue exterior shell with copper accents and color-matched accessories like the controller, PlayStation Camera, vertical stand and mono headphone. Only 50,000 will be made, and each one will come with a commemorative copper plate on the front with that console's serial number etched into it. What makes this limited edition PS4 Pro even more unique is the fact that it comes with a massive 2TB hard drive.

The controller will also be available separately, alongside a "Gold Wireless Headset 500 Million Limited Edition". It will be $499.99 USD/$639.99 CAD/€499. Select consoles also have important dates etched onto them, such those marking the United States launch of the original PlayStation and the PS4. The DualShock 4 controller ($64.99) and the Gold Wireless Headset ($99.99) will be available later, sometime in early September from select retailers in the United States and Canada. They're both available in "very, very limited quantities", though. The second is an unboxing video that gets up close and personal with the hardware itself.
