A while back there were rumblings and rumors of Diablo III potentially coming to Nintendo Switch, but nothing substantial emerged from the rumor mill and Blizzard remained silent.

According to the article, the new release is called Diablo III: Eternal Collection and is expected to arrive for the Nintendo Switch "later this year". Dubbed the Eternal Collection, it will feature both expansions and cost $59.99. Forbes says that up to four players can play on the same Switch, on four different Switch consoles wirelessly without internet, or over the Nintendo Switch Online service (which has now been confirmed to launch in the second half of September). The news prematurely surfaced ahead of Blizzard's official announcement scheduled for tomorrow, dropping all the details before being deleted.

As you might imagine from a name like "Eternal Collection", this version of Diablo III will include all of the 2012 game's subsequent paid expansions, including Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer, along with all of the game's free updates and patches up to this point.
