Green Bay Packers fans just let out probably the biggest collective sigh of relief in the history of the National Football League after seeing quarterback Aaron Rodgers jog back into the field out of the tunnel in the second half of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.

Rodgers went down awkwardly after being sacked by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris. Vic Fangio's defense had no answers for Rodgers in the second half, and after he returned he completed 17 of 22 passes for 273 yards with two touchdowns.

The play that gave the Packers a lead for the first time all game came on a third-and-10 situation.

The Packers announced at halftime that the star quarterback was questionable to return. The Bears had killed over six minutes off the clock, at which point they were at 3rd-and-2 at the Packers' 14-yard line with 2:42 remaining. He appeared to reach down for the back of his left leg. He has thrown an interception returned for a 27-yard touchdown by Bears linebacker Khalil Mack.

It was Rodgers' first regular-season game home game since last September 28 against the Bears. The 34-year-old managed to walk off the field with some assistance, but was carted from the sideline to the locker room shortly thereafter. He sat out nine games during the 2017 season due to a broken collarbone.
