Trump has attacked the book and author, calling it "fiction" and Woodward an "idiot". The book has created a controversy as Donald Trump and his office have criticised the book for misquoting the United States president. While he said the book contained "inaccuracies", as Axios reports, he wasn't specific about what the book supposedly got wrong. "The things that Trump did and does jeopardizes the real national security".

At a cabinet meeting, Trump said he was open to raising the top rate in exchange for further cuts bringing down the corporate rate.

But the apparent denials by two of the president's former aides, Gary Cohn and Rob Porter, are actually more damning of the president than they are exculpatory.

On Monday (local time), Trump called Woodward "a liar who is like a Dem operative prior to the Midterms" following an appearance by Woodward on NBC's "Today" show.

"It was clear that Trump did not understand the way the US government debt cycle balance sheet worked", Woodward wrote. "To try to control the presidency while not the president you have millions who voted for this".

Cohn commented on the claims set forth in the book, saying "This book does not accurately portray my experience at the White House". "We're told the book is based on hundreds of hours of interviews, most of which were taped with the consent of the source".

Jose Mourinho wants Paulo Dybala in exchange for Paul Pogba?
It will always be rumours". "At every club he has had big characters and I'm not sure he has that at Manchester United at the moment". "I don't mind Pogba dancing now", Keane said.

Trump lies about Obama

Cousins, Vikings hold on for victory vs. 49ers
They haven't faced the Packers on the road in September since the 2008 season opener. At least for now, the two are neck-and-neck after one week in new locales.

Having now read Bob Woodward's Fear, I am struck by the selective and often misleading portrait it paints of the President and his administration.

A White House official has said Trump was just venting over the essay and wasn't ordering federal prosecutors to take action.

Honestly, Colbert's first question, about how on Earth people still think it's a good idea to talk to Woodward, is probably one that a lot of people have.

Cohn said on Tuesday that portrayals of him in Woodward's book are inaccurate.

Times columnist David Leonhardt wrote this weekend about the possible nexus between Trump's business and Russian money laundering involving Deutsche Bank, which has been tied to such illicit money.

On Monday, Colbert asked Woodward, "How do you feel when the president says you're lying?" "So even when he is not physically going to, say, a more moderate suburban district where he is not welcome, it does not mean that his message or his temperament or the problematic tweets are not dominating the local news coverage". Woodward reported on the scandal. "About the third visit, they come down with three boxes of documents", he said, pointing out that he has time to dive deep into a story while daily reporters don't necessarily have the same luxury.
