The Green Bay Packers will begin practice Wednesday without quarterback Aaron Rodgers ahead of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

As far as Mike Zimmer is concerned, there is no way Rodgers is missing Sunday's divisional matchup.

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was not shy about the fact his team will be preparing for the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

Rodgers left Sunday night's win over the Chicago Bears in the second quarter and returned to start the second half, completing 17 of 23 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns.

"I would say it's day by day", McCarthy said on Wednesday. "So we'll take it day by day and learn as we go".

Naomi Osaka Tells Ellen DeGeneres What Serena Williams Whispered To Her
In bad scenes after Osaka's historic grand slam triumph, the 20-year-old burst into tears as fans voiced their displeasure at the way Serena had lost.

For now, it appears that Rodgers is doing everything he can to make sure he'll be able to play, but again, he's not willing to promise that he'll be out there against Minnesota.

Rodgers told Demovsky his knee is "pretty sore" but it feels "a little better every day".

"Obviously there's hope of him playing", McCarthy said.

Instead, he did rehab work on the side and extensive exercises with the medical staff inside the stadium. "He'll be given the whole week to get ready".

He described how he was cleared to play by the team doctor at halftime against the Bears so long as he could "deal with the pain". Just because Rodgers is in the rehab group that doesn't mean it's a setback.
