After a lot of leaks and speculations, Samsung has now officially launched its new Galaxy A7 smartphone for the year.

First, let's talk about the most important feature of the Galaxy A7-the triple camera setup. It also has a 24-megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture. An ultra-wide 8MP f/2.4 module with 120° viewing angle is bound to offer some really crisp and balanced photos.

The handset sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, a side fingerprint sensor and the Dolby Atmos sound system. Featuring a premium glass design, a lateral fingerprint sensor for greater convenience and smooth curves, the Galaxy A7 is both practical and comfortable in hand.

The A7 also comes with a 6 inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution of 2,220 by 1,080, an octa-core processor and RAM capacity which varies between from 4GB and 6GB depending on the model you desire. What does distinguish it, however, is the trio of camera lenses on the rear.

Earlier this month, Samsung mobile boss DJ Koh said the company's mid-range phones will get cutting-edge features before its flagships going forward. The latest iteration of the Galaxy A7 apparently improves on the 2017 version of the device announced earlier previous year.

The phone will run Android Oreo 8.0 with Samsung's UI running atop, and will be powered by a 3,300mAh Lithium-ion battery.

Samsung made a comeback to the top in the overall Indian smartphone market and surpassed Xiaomi with a 29 per cent share in the second quarter of 2018, said a recent Counterpoint Research report, adding that the refreshed Galaxy J series helped the South Korean giant achieve the leading position. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, VHT80, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC (optional), GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, and USB Type-B.

On the camera front, the Galaxy J6+ offers a dual-lens rear camera with a 13MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor with f/1.9 aperture. These two tablets also available at all Samsung Experience Stores and authorised dealers at RM3099 and RM1699 respectively in either black or grey.

Although the A7 is now official, we're still in the dark on some of the finer details such as a price, the exact processor it has and also precisely when it will launch.
