Hicks resigned from the White House in February.

The firm is preparing to sell a big portion of the existing company to Walt Disney Co and spin off its news assets, including Fox News, into a new company called Fox.

New Fox will include the Fox broadcast network, its sports unit FS1, and Fox News, which is America's leading cable news network.

Hope Hicks has landed a new job.

Ms Hicks had worked for the Trump Organization since 2014.

The many changes under way at Rupert Murdoch's TV empire include a shift of the power center of the company from NY to Los Angeles, where CEO Lachlan Murdoch and other key corporate leaders will be based. The $71.3 billion Disney-Fox merger is expected to be finalized by early next year.

Two former employees of Fox News, the conservative-leaning cable channel whose commentators offer the staunchest support of Trump and his policies, are now part of the administration: Former co-president Bill Shine now has Hicks' former White House post, and former anchor Heather Nauert is a spokesperson for the State Department. O'Brien served as Joe Biden's chief of staff during a portion of his tenure in the Senate. So happy for my friend.

Along with Hicks' new appointment, Fox also stated Monday that Danny O'Brien will join as executive vice president and head of government relations. "They are beyond lucky to have you".
