We'll be hearing more about the Google Pixel Slate tonight, and our fingers are crossed that Google will finally bring one of their flagship Chrome OS devices to Australia.

The number of surprises Google has in store for this Tuesday continues to dwindle as yet another new product leaked over the weekend. It won't surprising to see Google name the two names with a dash of pun. Leaks and rumours have suggested that the bigger variant, Pixel 3 XL will feature a notch while the Pixel 3 will come with the standard 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Pixel 3 XL has been shown flaunting a new all-screen look with a notch and two front-facing cameras. On the back, the phone is reported to get a glass body with a matte paint job on the lower side, as seen in the Pixel 2-series smartphones. It appears to be fairly thin, with cutouts for a fingerprint sensor, volume buttons, and a USB-C port.

The Pixel Slate seems to be a competitor to both the iPad and the Microsoft Surface, both of which make good use of detachable keyboards. We also saw the tablet in all its glory thanks to accessory maker Brydge, which appears to be making an attachable keyboard accessory for the Pixel Slate. Interestingly, the keyboard has a dedicated key to launch Google Assistant. Moreover, it can easily fold, which transforms the tablet into a laptop. The device should run regular Android apps, and it may feature an ARM-based mobile processor or an ultra-low power CPU from Intel.

There are a lot of products which are expected to launch in Google's launching event on October 9th.

Most specifications of the Google Pixel 3 have also been confirmed, which reveal hardware specifications of smartphones. The Chrome OS running tablet could go on sale immediately or within the next few days in the US.

The timeline for the India launch a couple of weeks after the global announcement seems to be in line with what Google did previous year with Pixel 2-series phones.

A deal for the Pixel 3 listed the phone as costing £58 a month if customers pay a £10 upfront charge.
