In a tease of the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event, "Elseworlds", DC and the CW have released the first look at Batwoman, played by actress Ruby Rose. The costume was designed by award-winning designer Colleen Atwood who is responsible for several other major costumes in the Arrowverse.

Batwoman was a watershed moment in comic book culture when she debuted in 2006 because she was one of DC's first openly gay characters.
