It's been developed in secret by (appropriately enough) The Secret Police, a UK-based mobile games studio featuring a range of talent from the gaming industry.

Barone said in a blog post that it will be the full game and the biggest difference will be the rebuilt UI and controls for touch screens. Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone aided them, so fans can likely expect some pretty decent on-the-go farming.

As an added bonus, PC players will be able to transfer their save games to iOS via iTunes.

It'll cost you £8 once it's out, and that's it. For more information visit the official Stardew Valley website here.

The basic idea behind Stardew Valley is you take over your grandfather's farm and manage the allocation of your character's time.

Critically acclaimed farming sim/role-playing game "Stardew Valley" is coming to the Apple App Store on October 24, developer Eric Barone announced on Tuesday.

Stardew Valley is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The iOS version is coming on October 24th. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

An announcement trailer for the mobile version of Stardew Valley was also released, which you can check out below.

It's worth mentioning an Android port is confirmed, but is set to release "soon". However, Barone warns that mods are not supported in the iOS version, so any saves made it modded games may have incompatibility issues. Stardew Valley will be launching onto the iOS App Store on October 24th, an Android version is now in development.
