Samsung unveils new Exynos 9820 processor with AI capabilities

Samsung launched the Galaxy S9 nine months ago now, and as with most companies they tend to use new colour variations to reinvigorate sales as time goes by.

The new chipset also comes with AI-enabled features, as Samsung follows Huawei by putting artificial intelligence at the heart of our smartphones. The Galaxy F, of course, being the much-hyped first foldable phone that's on the way from the company in March, and a new patent also suggests the largest smartphone maker in the world apparently wants foldable tablets to be a thing, too.

During its developer conference keynote in San Francisco, Samsung insisted it had designed One UI to make navigating on larger devices with one hand easier.

According to the US Trademark and Patent Office document filed by Samsung, its fullscreen in-display fingerprint scanner uses a secondary, low-power processor to work.

Although all eyes were on Samsung's foldable Galaxy phone last week, we're getting closer to the release of Samsung's next true flagship: the Galaxy S10.

The Exynos 9820 will only offer decent performance improvements over its predecessor.

The tweet further suggests that the Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to come in three RAM/ROM variants- 4GB RAM/64GB ROM, 6GB RAM/64GB ROM, and 6GB RAM/128GB ROM.

Impact: Samsung appears to have found a way to continue reducing the bezels on its Android handsets without embracing a traditional display notch, an element that's been polarizing both critics and consumers for over a year now, ever since Essential first debuted it with the PH-1 in the late summer of 2017.

Evan Blass reveals that the Galaxy S10 will have an all-screen design broken only by a small, circular cut-out at the very top of the display for the front-facing camera.
