Do you think this would be a good move for Morata?

Scoring hasn't come easy to Alvaro Morata this season, but the Spaniard scored twice for Chelsea on Saturday as they beat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup and he didn't even bother to celebrate. Five things to know...

On one side you have a striker who did perform for Chelsea, but his issues off the field left his position at the club untenable, while on the other there's Morata, who has been a real disappointment considering the money we paid for him.

Morata may need to leave for more regular football and rumours began to circulate after he missed Tuesday's trip to Tottenham with a minor injury.

"He is an important player for us and we want to have him back [from injury] as soon as possible", he added.

The Spain global will be granted permission to leave Stamford Bridge this month if the Blues can bring in a replacement in time.

"I don't speak about players that aren't with us, only those that are".

Speaking of Wednesday's match, Simeone says he felt Girona made life hard on his side and that the tie was still there for the taking for either club.

Morata was signed by Chelsea to replace Diego Costa, who rejoined Atletico.

"Diego Costa would absolutely transform Chelsea's fortunes and, if it was down to me, I'd break the bank to re-sign him", Crouch wrote of the Spanish striker, who is now sidelined following foot surgery.

Sevilla have looked like the favourites to acquire the 26-year-old's signature, but Atletico look set to do battle with their La Liga rivals.

If that happens, Costa could conceivably become surplus to requirements in the Spanish capital.

The Spanish League giants will only get the chance to sign the former Los Blancos forward if they also sell a couple of players this transfer window. "We played well in the second half".
