India captain Virat Kohli Friday said he is not too stressed about the possibility of a ban on all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his "inappropriate" comments on women as the side has a ready replacement in Ravindra Jadeja.

The Indian team defeated Australia 2-1 in the four-match Test series, ending the country's 71-year-old wait for a rare series win Down Under.

Further speaking on the controversy, Virat Kohli said that the playing XI ahead of the first one-day is not decided yet since the team management is waiting for the response and final decison of the BCCI on Pandya and Rahul.

They have great riches in all positions but they are likely to be without Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul after recent comments made on a television show that the BCCI have taken a dim view of so the likelihood is that they will not be considered for selection here which is no major issue given their strength and depth.

The 25-year-old Pandya and Rahul apologised for their conduct after the BCCI demanded an explanation but officials unanimously chose to go ahead with an inquiry.

"From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don't support and the two concerned players felt what has gone wrong and they have understood the magnitude of what's happened".

"You could feel a sense of total confidence, just those guys sitting around and feeling like they have their own identity as Indian cricketers and as a team we have our own identity", he said.

During an episode of talk show Koffee with Karan that was televised in India last Sunday, Pandya sparked outrage with his remarks about women in nightclubs.

"You have to adjust with the situation", Kohli said. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show, ' he wrote. In no way did I mean any disrespect or to hurt anyone's sentiments. "And they are definitely not going to dampen anything that we've achieved", he asserted.

"We, as the Indian cricket team do not support views like that and that has been communicated".

"All these external factors are not going to derail our motivation or the preparation for the World Cup".

On the show, Pandya had boasted about hooking up with multiple women and being open about it with his parents.
