On Thursday, authorities announced Closs, 13, who disappeared in October, was found alive.

The man suspected of kidnapping a Wisconsin teenager and killing her parents more than two months ago appears to have led an unremarkable existence until then. Neighbour Daphne Ronning told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the parents moved away but that Patterson and his older brother, Erik, continued to stay in the cabin.

Nutter said, "This is Jayme Closs!".

"When we talk to kids, we talk about if someone is breaking your safety rules, you look for someone who is not breaking your safety rules, so Jayme escaped and went to the first person she saw and said that she needed help", Straub said.

They believe she was targeted by Patterson, but are still investigating any possible links between him and the Closs family.

Fitzgerald said he was not yet aware of any plans for a community gathering to welcome Jayme home.

However, authorities believe that Jake Patterson acted alone in kidnapping Jayme Closs and murdering her parents James, 56, and Denise Closs, 46.

Patterson's parents divorced in 2008, according to online court records.

Jayme's aunt, Jennifer Smith, posted the photos on Facebook.

Elizabeth Smart - who was abducted aged 14 in 2002 in Utah and held captive for nine months - said in an Instagram post: "No matter what may unfold in her story let's all try to remember that this young woman has SURVIVED". It appeared Patterson hid her from his friends and other people, the sheriff said without elaborating. Did he take things with her?

Shortly before 1 a.m. that night, 911 dispatchers got a call during which they could hear yelling, but no one talked to the dispatcher.

Megyn Kelly 'Definitely' Returning to TV After NBC Finalizes Exit Agreement
The backlash to Kelly was swift and immediate, exceeding the outrage she generated for her remarks years ago about Santa's race. Kelly was in the second of a three-year contract that reportedly paid her more than $20 million (around P1.4 billion) a year.

Patterson is unemployed, although worked for one day at the Jennie-O Turkey Store in Barron, where the Closs' worked for 27 years.

The few neighbors who know Patterson's family say he grew up in a cabin in a remote subdivision that's a mix of seasonal and year-round homes about 10 miles outside Gordon proper.

The sheriff said Patterson had been keeping Jayme against her will at his home.

"These funds are going to go towards the journey with the family as they help Jayme through whatever it may be...driving to take care of her, taking her to the clinic, medical costs or anything", said De Andriano.

He wonders whether Patterson was somehow stalking Jayme.

During the intense, nationwide investigation for Jayme, officials from the FBI, state patrol and local law enforcement received thousands of tips. He was being held in Barron County's jail on preliminary charges of intentional homicide and kidnapping, and will have an initial court appearance Monday.

"I'm lost and I don't know where I am, and I need help", Jayme told Nutter.

"She said that this person's name was Jake Patterson, 'he killed my parents and took me, '" said another neighbor, Kristin Kasinskas.

Closs was reunited with her aunt and the rest of her family.

"The million-dollar question is why", Fitzgerald said Saturday. While the world may wonder what she went through in captivity, typically if a minor has suffered abuse their identities are kept private.

"Jayme had a pretty good night sleep it was great to know she was next to me all night what a great feeling to have her home".
