Maajid Nawaz defends Chelsea Clinton after she was approached by an NYU student who then blamed her for the terrorist attack in New Zealand.

"This right here is the result of a massacre stoked by people like you and the words that you put out into the world", a female student can be heard saying in a video that was posted on Twitter. "I want you to know that and I want you to feel that deep inside".

Alleged gunman, Brenton, 28, is an Australian personal trainer and he allegedly killed 49 people and injured 48 others at two mosques in Christchurch, NZ on March 15.

The students were referencing Clinton's condemnation of anti-Semitic comments made by congresswoman Ilhan Omar. But Chelsea Clinton isn't responsible for that, and she certainly isn't responsible for the actions of a deranged white nationalist in New Zealand. I do believe words matter. "I believe we have to show solidarity with each other".

While this discussion has centered around President Trump, who was named in the shooter's manifesto, and who denied the fact that white supremacy is a growing concern in this nation, for some reason Chelsea Clinton was attacked yesterday. "Anyone who doesn't understand that is part of the problem", he tweeted. Omar has recently suggested American Jews have "dual loyalty" and criticized pro-Israel lobby AIPAC as being "All about the Benjamins".

"I don't think..." the girl replied, when another student interrupted: "What does "I'm sorry you feel that way" mean?"

The video quickly started making the rounds on Friday evening with a wide array of people, on both sides of the political aisle, condemning the students for blaming Clinton.

Omar's comments ignited a firestorm of debate over whether she was raising legitimate critiques of US foreign policy or engaging in anti-Semitism.

"I'm so sorry", she said.
