"That's one of those unwritten rule hits that you don't throw, especially to a guy that's played 20 f-ing years in the National Hockey League".

"We know every series is going to be ultra-competitive". We are going to play our game that worked for us in Game 1.

The retired National Hockey League winger and notorious on-ice instigator weighed in on Saturday night's incident involving Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri and Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk.

"There's a decision to be made", coach Bruce Cassidy said.

The 28-year-old was suspended three games last season for a hit on then-Bruins forward Tommy Wingels. Unfortunately, the Leafs didn't have that push back from Game 1 and couldn't establish their game.

If Kadri is unavailable for Game 3, Toronto coach Mike Babcock said he will play either William Nylander or Marleau in Kadri's slot as the team's third-line center.

The Toronto centre and his teammates are hoping to add another tonight against the Boston Bruins.

Stratolaunch, the World's Biggest Aircraft, Makes Historic 1st Flight
Powered by the same type of engines used by Boeing 747s , the aircraft is created to take off at a maximum weight of 1.3m pounds. Thomas said this flight started out like those previous tests until they throttled up and did a rotation maneuver to take off .

Inserted into the lineup after getting healthy scratched for Game 1, veteran winger David Backes was first to a loose puck behind Toronto's net before feeding Coyle in front to bury a shot past Frederik Andersen, who was terrific in making 37 saves, for a 1-0 lead just 4:44 in. Kadri looked to be injured but no penalty was called on DeBrusk.

"It's time for f-ing Auston Matthews to wake up", Avery said.

Muzzin rocked Torey Krug with a crunching hit at the side boards in the second period, sending the Bruins defenceman to the dressing room, from where he did not return.

Kadri returned in the third period and scored Toronto's lone goal.

"The only problem with Kadri's hit [on DeBrusk] is he didn't take the top f-ing row of DeBrusk's teeth out", Avery said.

Andersen - by far the best Leaf - robbed Heinen with an exceptional glove save on a power play before Rask made a toe stop on Andreas Johnsson. The Kadri cross-check on DeBrusk came after the Bruin hit Patrick Marleau into the curved glass at the Boston bench. Now, maybe in the end, when you look at it and it says 4-0 or 4-1, you didn't think it was competitive, but usually every game is ultra-competitive. Kadri was also suspended four games in April 2016 for cross-checking.

Bergeron scored on the ensuing power play at 15:03 as the Leafs now turn their attention to Game 3 _ likely without Kadri.
