Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp working again after outages

The outage-tracking website showed that there are more than 9,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook.

Both WhatsApp and Instagram are owned by Facebook. There are more than 1.52 billion daily active Facebook users, according to the social media network's website.

At the moment, it is not clear what the problem is but the outages have been reported worldwide. Downdetector.com's live outage map showed that the issues were mainly in Europe, Asia and the US.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are now inaccessible to users worldwide.

The outages caused #FacebookDown, #instagramdown and #whatsappdown to all trend on Twitter.

Facebook responded on Twitter after people had noticed the outage.

"All Facebook services are down", said Daniel Chernenkov in Israel.

Facebook and its other services faced a similar issue a month back.

Social media giant Facebook and its sister apps, Instagram and WhatsApp, experienced another downtime on Sunday evening here. "We're working to resolve the issue as soon as possible", they tweeted.
