Tiger Woods has bounced back from a 10-year lean spell to win the US Golf Masters at Augusta. "My dad was here in 97 (when he won his first Masters) and now I'm the dad with two kids there".

The 43-year-old secured his first major title since 2008 and his 81st PGA Tour victory after a dramatic final round at Augusta National, with a two-under 70 enough to earn a one-shot win.

"It's overwhelming. Because of what transpired past year - I was lucky to be playing again".

The victory also marked the first time Woods had reached the winner's circle at major without leading after 54 holes.

Maryland Weather: Severe Storms Take Aim At Maryland
As the storms tore through MS overnight into Sunday , they left a trail of destruction that authorities are still combing through. The severe weather threat for North Alabama and Southern Tennessee comes from about 11 PM Saturday to about 9 AM Sunday .

They say the Masters starts on the second nine on Sunday, and this year didn't disappoint, especially with the arrival of the promised rain. His drive at 11 did likewise, although a superb recovery allowed him to save par.

"Then I was trying to get a five on the last [hole]". Brooks Koepka, Ian Poulter, Franceso Molinari and Tony Finau all made double bogey, while overnight leader Molinari threw in a double bogey seven at the 15th for good measure.

In the ensuing period of his majors drought, many feared Woods would be forced to quit the sport as he battled severe back injuries that aborted several attempted comebacks, as well as a very public arrest while driving under the influence of medication in 2017.
