The All Digitial Xbox One S will fulfil Microsoft's original vision of the Xbox One, that being a device which relies only on digital media and requires a broadband connection to get games and other media.

As we head into a future where games are streamed from the internet, a system like this makes sense, but it also makes sense right now. I've had a quick look around at current Xbox One S console pricing in the United Kingdom and notice that the 1TB console with one controller costs £179, and multiple game bundles are available around the £200 mark. Furthermore, the console will come with one Xbox One S controller as previous Xbox One consoles have. It's a little bit odd that we haven't had an official announcement from Microsoft itself in regards to the new hardware, especially if it is aiming for a May 7 launch, but perhaps Microsoft doesn't want to distract from the next-generation Xbox.
