There were questions about his ability to win a major tournament, but those have all ended following the Masters victory.

He's now won 15 majors and 81 professional golf tournaments but Tiger Woods has a new accolade after securing the US Masters title at age 43 yesterday - A Presidential Medal of Freedom. Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus were honored by president George W. Bush in 2004 and 2005, respectively. They've played golf together several times, including at least three outings since Trump's election in 2016.

Trump didn't indicate when he'll present the medal to Woods.

According to President Donald Trump, Tiger Woods will have yet another award to add to his enormous pile of hardware, all thanks to the comeback he completed on Sunday at Augusta National.

Trump is apparently particularly impressed with Woods return to the forefront of golf, as he live-tweeted the end of Woods round in Augusta and was quick to congratulate the athlete multiple times.

"Love people who are great under pressure". Just previous year, Trump gave medals to Babe Ruth, Roger Staubach and Alan Page. "What a fantastic life comeback for a really great guy!" he added later.

The victory for Woods at Augusta represented an epic comeback, almost 11 years after his last victory in a major tournament. It was a conquest over physical injuries, personal demons and other problems largely of his own making.
